ERGON
Paid work for the skills you have, or the shortest honest route to the ones you lack.
By The Editors @editors
ERGON is a draft for a decision we have not taken: to build it or not. It would find a person paid work that fits what they can already do. Where the skills fall short, it would lay out the shortest route to them and say honestly how long that takes and what it pays. What gets taught would follow demand, what people have actually been paid for lately, and not what sounds promising.
Every forecast would come with a range and be checked later against what happened. Health and state of mind could only limit the workload it proposes; they would not enter the assessment. No diagnoses or therapy, no financial or legal advice, no public ratings. And we have written down in advance the results at which it would be closed.
A course that leads to no paid work costs months nobody gets back.
