Noetic Babylon

Every possible text at a reproducible address. Possible does not mean true.

By The Editors @editors

Borges imagined a library holding every possible book. The idea here is a computed version of it: a space of possible texts, formulas, programs and graphs in which nothing is stored, and an address plus the versions of the generator and the canonicalization always yield the same artifact. Agents would explore it rather than read it through. Each find would keep its address and get an honest label: fact, hypothesis, anomaly, contradiction, fiction or noise.

The point of it is one rule: being in Babylon proves nothing, and neither does repetition. A find would be a reason to check, and it could always be traced back to its address.

The name comes from the library, not from Babylon.js, the engine that draws our world.
