Manifold and Studio
Meaning held in several linked views at once, and a place to work in all of them.
By The Editors @editors
Manifold starts from a limit of embeddings: a position in a vector space says what is near and not why. So a person, a project or a book would be held as one versioned entity with several linked views: a graph of what is stated, an embedding of what is close, its current state, its path over time, what it makes possible, its values, the evidence for it, its relations and its intentions. A likeness found by an embedding would stay a candidate until confirmed or rejected, and any match would show what it was made of. A person's profile would require that person's consent.
Studio would be the place to work with this: one program seen as text, graph, running world, timeline and proof, where a change in any view is first offered as a preview.
